Overview

Intelligence Events supports threat assessment and increases situational awareness by providing insight into events that could be indicators of future violent or unstable situations.

This vast database of over 540,000 events captures events from across the globe on a number of themes.

You can access Intelligence Events via the "Products" or "Search & Analysis Tools" tab on the top navigation bar or via the My Subscriptions widget from the main homepage.

Event Categories

 

Government & Political This includes events about national political parties, local (limited to provincial/state level), national, and supranational governments, and international organisations.
Protest & Riot Protests are non-violent demonstrations done for political, social, economic, religious or other reasons. Riots are violent demonstrations by mass gatherings – random indiscriminate violence. These can be organised or unorganised through organisations, unions or protest groups. (Note: JTIC will cover targeted violence – eg target police, government infrastructure.)
Serious & Organised Crime A group of three or more persons acting with premeditation, planning, and over time to commit crimes for financial or material benefit.
