Overview

Janes Defence Budgets applies a rigorous methodology to deliver detailed analysis of a country's defence spending. It provides critical insight on the current and future size and makeup of every significant defence spender in the world.

JDB provides:

  • Analysis of over 107 countries accounting for 99% of global defence spending
  • A budgets spreadsheet with 20-year view with at least 19 years of historical analysis alongside 10 years of forecast. 
  • A charting tool with a 10-year view with five years historical analysis and five years forecast. 
  • Breakdown of budget by:
    • Service (army, navy, air force, defence-wide)
    • Activities (procurement, RDT&E, military personnel, operations& maintenance, and others)

The landing page shows the latest report updates and allows the user to select a particular report. It also provides quick access to the Defence Budgets charting tool and data analytics page.
